URGENT: Durham Rescue Mission Cancels Annual Easter Event
Due to Increased Severe Weather Potential
Safety of the community and volunteers is most paramount
Durham, NC – Friday, April 19, 2019, the Durham Rescue Mission has made the decision to cancel the Annual Easter Community Dinner and Easter Basket Give-away due to the increased severe weather potential currently entering the area. This decision has been made with consideration for the safety of the community attending the event and its volunteers. In the 45 year history of the Rescue Mission, this is the first time ANY community event has been canceled.
Plans for an abbreviated event are being decided upon at this time, and an update will be coming soon on those plans.
The Rescue Mission asks everyone to be safe and prays that any impact from today’s potential severe weather is minimal.
