We are asking the community to help provide 200 turkeys for homeless and hurting men, women, and children who will be attending the Durham Rescue Mission’s Annual Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners.
The Thanksgiving Community Dinner for the homeless and hurting will be on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, at Noon at the Durham Rescue Mission’s Center for Hope located at 1201 East Main Street (corner of Main Street and Alston Avenue) in Durham.
The Christmas Community Dinner and Toy Give-Away will be held on Wednesday, December 23, at the same location.
Thanksgiving is only three weeks away. We need approximately 200 turkeys to carry us through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Please help us provide for those who are homeless and hurting in our community.
Together, with the help of caring people in the Triangle area, we can make Thanksgiving special for those who are homeless and hurting.
If you would like to purchase a turkey, you may drop it off at 1201 East Main Street by Tuesday, November 24.
Online donations may be made at durhamrescuemission.org or call 919-688-9641, Ext. 5024.
