Summertime Support

“I had no idea.”

I hear time and again when friends like you visit the Durham Rescue Mission for a firsthand look. They are simply amazed at all that goes on here . . . amazed by the lengths to which we go to help struggling people turn their lives around.

They’re aware we feed the hungry and give shelter to the homeless. But when they come and walk our hallways and realize the holistic breadth of help we provide, they can’t get over the full impact they are having on suffering souls in our community — the same impact YOU are having.

It’s absolutely because of generous friends like you that lives are being transformed here inside the walls of the Durham Rescue Mission.

That’s because you are providing tangible help far beyond just meals and shelter, including:

  • ADDICTION RECOVERY, getting at the root of the issue – only then can we begin to help with their problems
  • BIBLE STUDIES, addressing spiritual issues that result in lasting transformation.
  • JOB SKILL TRAINING, equipping our guests to find full-time employment.
  • HEALTHCARE SERVICES, through a partnership with Samaritan Health Center.

I hope you will continue your generous support by sending a special summertime gift today. The summer months are especially tough here at the Mission. To be honest . . . we are relying on partners like you to help us get through.

Can we count on you to give us your support today? Your generous gift will provide life-transforming services for neighbors in desperate need.

Thank you for standing with us for the sake of hungry, homeless and hurting people in the Triangle.

Gratefully,
Dr. Ernie Mills
