Will You Accept the Challenge?

The Challenge Coin pictured here is similar to the coin the Durham Rescue Mission presents to all who graduate our year-long Victory Program – men and women who’ve accepted the challenge to continue living by the principles they have learned and to do the hard work of allowing God to transform their lives.

When you give a gift today of $20 or more, we will send you one of these coins. It will be your daily reminder to pray for our graduates as they continue to face new challenges in life. But this is more than simply a coin. It’s a lasting symbol of the commitment to a changed life…and a reminder to you of how your generous donation given today brings hope and healing to so many.

The Victory Program is the Durham Rescue Mission’s 12-month recovery program that provides physical and spiritual restoration for addicted men and women.

Through one-on-one addiction counseling and other related programs, participants are able to return to the workforce and become contributing members of society once again.

We look forward to sending you this special coin. We also encourage you to accept the challenge of continuing to support our Victory Program…along with our other ministries to the poor and needy in our community.

Victory Program graduate Wanda says, “The things I learned while in this program I can carry with me the rest of my days. I am rebuilding my life a day at a time with the Bible and Holy Spirit guiding me each step.”

Jamie joins Wanda, saying, “Not until I joined the Victory Program did I understand what real peace is all about. Thank you for making this program available to me.”

Right now, while you are thinking about this ministry, we urge you to accept our challenge to support these men and women who want to begin living responsible lives.

Thank you for your generous donation.
