Financial Support

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to help us help others.  Individuals, churches, businesses, civic groups, organizations, and foundations have supported, and continue to support, the Durham Rescue Mission. The mission is a faith-based, nonprofit ministry supported solely by donations. We do not receive any local, state, or federal government funding. All gifts are tax-deductible.

Special Giving Opportunities

Honorarium Gifts are a pleasant way to remember a special person, occasion, anniversary, birthday, etc. When requested, we will send a card to acknowledge your gift. Be sure to include a complete name and mailing address. In addition, your gift will be listed in an upcoming edition of our monthly newsletter.

Memorial Gifts are a thoughtful way to remember a loved one, friend, or associate who has passed on. When requested, we will send a card to a family member to acknowledge your gift. Operation Daily Bread Program

  • A gift of $575.77 will cover the basic operating expenses of our Men’s Division for one day.
  • A gift of $549.73 will cover the basic operating expenses of our Women, Children, and Families' Division for one day.
  •  A gift of $1,125.50 will sponsor a day at both divisions.
  • These special donations may be given in installments.
  • A day’s sponsorship may be general, honorarial, or memorial. Your name, the name of your organization, or an honorarium or memorial will be displayed according to which division you sponsor, on either our…
    • Men’s Division marquee, (on the corner of Main Street and Hwy 55)
    • Women, Children, and Families' Division marquee, (on I-85)
    • If you sponsor both divisions, your information will be displayed at both locations.

Providing a Meal

We are able to feed one person for $1.79, because so much food is donated to the Durham Rescue Mission.

  • $17.90 will feed 10 hungry people
  • $35.80 will feed 20 hungry people
  • $53.70 will feed 30 hungry people
  • $179.00 will 100 hungry people

Special Events

We host four annual community events each year (Easter Dinner, Back to School Party, Thanksgiving Dinner, and Christmas Dinner). Designated financial gifts for these events are always appreciated.
