Easter Baskets

The Durham Rescue Mission’s Annual Easter Community Dinner is scheduled for Friday, March 21. At this time, the Mission is in need of volunteers and Easter Baskets.

Last year, the Durham Rescue Mission gave away 625 Easter baskets and served over 1,200 meals to guests attending this event.

This year, the Mission is anticipating an increase in the attendance of children, so the need is great to provide Easter baskets for each child. The Mission is requesting the Triangle’s help to make this Easter a special moment for those who are underprivileged in our community.

The Mission is also in need of Volunteers to help make this event possible. There are currently not enough Volunteers signed up to perform the necessary duties to insure the event runs smoothly.

The Durham Rescue Mission needs interested persons to call today! With the help of caring people in the Triangle, together we can make Easter a special occasion for at-risk children.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Rodney McClain at (919) 688-9641 ext 5025; or email volunteer@durhamrescuemission.com.

If you would like to purchase an Easter basket, you may drop it off at 1201 East Main Street by Wednesday, March 19 or you can make an on-line donation by clicking here.
