On Thanksgiving Day, the Durham Rescue Mission hosts an Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner. We serve a free traditional thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings, and give away free clothing (including winter coats) and free groceries. In addition, we have games and other activities for the children to enjoy.
If you are in need of help during the holidays or are homeless, we invite you to come join us at 1201 East Main Street, Durham, North Carolina, for our Thanksgiving Community Dinner.
Want to Help?
Without the financial and prayer support of our friends, the Durham Rescue Mission would have a difficult time helping those men, women, and children who come to us each day. If you would like to become a prayer partner, please email us at email@example.com.
If you would like to help with a financial gift, please donate now.
The Durham Rescue Mission needs volunteers to help with our Annual Christmas Community Dinner. Volunteer opportunities include: setting up the event site; cooking the meal; serving the meal; setting up and manning our toy give away; setting up and giving away clothing, including warm coats; giving away groceries; and cleaning up after the event.
