During the Easter season, the Durham Rescue Mission hosts an Annual Easter Community Dinner on Good Friday. At this free dinner, we serve barbeque and hot dogs, give away free clothing, free groceries, and free Easter baskets to children accompanied by an adult. We have lots of games and activities for children to enjoy, as well. It is a fun day!
Need Help?
If you are in need of help during this holiday or you are homeless, we invite you to join us at 1201 East Main Street, Durham, North Carolina, on Good Friday for our Annual Easter Community Dinner. We look forward to seeing you and sharing God's blessings with you.
Want to Help?
Without the financial and prayer support of our friends, the Durham Rescue Mission would have a difficult time helping those men, women, and children who come to us each day. If you would like to become a prayer partner, please email us at info@durhamrescuemission.com.
If you would like to help with a financial gift, please donate now.
Volunteer!
The Durham Rescue Mission needs volunteers to help with our Annual Easter Community Dinner. Volunteer opportunities include: making or purchasing Easter baskets to be given to at-risk children; setting up the event site; cooking the meal; serving the meal; setting up and manning the game booths; giving away clothing; giving away groceries; giving away Easter baskets to at-risk children 12 and under; and cleaning up after the event.
